Important Changes in Telegram

Telegram, the popular messaging app, has launched four important developments. The first one is a new function called “slow mode” or slow mode, which allows the administrator of a group chat to set timeouts for users to send a message.

Telegram shows an option so that the messages sent do not emit sounds.

This function aims to slow down the number of messages that are sent at the same time to prevent them from accumulating and making the chat difficult to follow. The function allows the administrator to choose waiting times from 30 seconds to 1 hour.

Once the administrator has selected the time interval, Telegram will show users a small timer in the chat box in order to indicate how much time the user has left to send the next message.

Together with this, the app has also launched other news in its latest update. One of them is the function that allows you to send messages silently, that is, so that, although the receiver has updates and sound activated, this message does not emit any sound.

The function is designed specifically for those users who wish to communicate something without disturbing the sleep or working hours of the recipient. To activate it, the person must only press and hold the send button until Telegram shows him the option of “Send without sound”.

Another of the functions launched by the messaging app is also designed for group chats. And it is that from now on the administrators of a chat can be assigned a title to identify with the rest of the group. The title will appear next to the person’s name and can be seen by all members of the group, which can be especially useful in working groups.

Finally, Telegram is working to improve the way audiovisual content is sent through its app. To do this, the messaging platform has improved the video browsing bar so that users can review the content of a video more easily.

In addition, improving this function will allow users to determine, for example, from what minute or second of a video they would like people to see it. Therefore, Telegram will allow users to write in the description of the video the minute and second after which they want others to watch the video.

When the video is sent, the timestamp automatically becomes a link in which the user must only click to access the exact minute and second to be viewed. Similarly, when responding to a video it is possible to generate a specific timestamp so that the other person can detail something in particular.

These Telegram improvements significantly improve the user experience and, mainly, facilitate interaction making it more efficient and compatible with the needs of individuals.

In this sense, the advantages provided by the app continue to be a great threat to WhatsApp, who despite having redesigned their group chats to look more like Telegram, is still far behind the innovation shown by the paper plane app .
