Facebook has launched a new feature, personalized birthday stories, designed so that users can add greeting cards with photos and videos to a Story.

“Users can congratulate the birthdays through the stories in a personalized way.”

With this launch, more than 500 million users of Stories Facebook can congratulate the birthdays of their friends, family or colleagues in a personalized way. This function acts as a more personal digital greeting postcard than those left on the birthday wall.

To create a personalized story with this feature, the user must click on the birthday notification. Once that’s done, you can see the Facebook camera interface and you can take a new photo or video or select an existing one from the phone’s reel, as well as select one of these new personalized digital birthday cards. In the greeting you can add other elements such as musical stickers, to include a song and you can also put emoticons and texts. This congratulation will be added to the birthday story of the friend that the user decides to congratulate, creating a personalized birthday movie.

With this new format users can share their congratulations quickly and very easily in their stories. Until now, some used to make a screen capture to share with others the congratulations that came through the social network. With this option it is no longer necessary to resort to external methods and you can upload directly to the Stories.

This novelty is one of the latest launched by Facebook to encourage the use of its Stories. In recent weeks the company has also included the possibility of uploading photographs in three dimensions in ephemeral content, and has also been experimenting with new ways of seeing the Stories, all to get more and more users to share content that disappear at 24 hours after being published.
