Data is surprising, but Facebook has secured during the communication of results for the first quarter of the year, which announced more than 2.380 million users, a rise of 26% in terms of revenue and a fall of 51% with respect to the benefits- that more than 500 million people use Stories on Facebook every day.

“Facebook equals Instagram in number of daily users of the Stories.”

Perhaps as a user may surprise the data, but that is the official figure that consigns the company to the product that, imitating the success of Snapchat and, above all, trying to repeat the positive experience on Instagram, launched on Facebook just over three years.

So far Facebook had not provided the data of daily users of Facebook Stories in their communications of results, although yes that some official information had indicated last year, towards the month of September, which already had 300 million users a day. This means that in recent months 200 million more people have signed up to create Stories on Facebook.

Do you as users see as much activity on Facebook Stories as on Instagram Stories? My personal experience is not that … Taking into account that the official number of daily users of Instagram Stories is also 500 million people a day, the “movement” should be similar, although I personally see much more publication of ephemeral content on Instagram that on Facebook …

Taking into account the growth figures, it is very possible that Instagram Stories has now many more daily users of Stories than those already indicated in the month of January.

Facebook has not indicated how many people use Stories within Facebook Messenger, a format that was launched two years ago under the name of “Messenger Day” and that there has not achieved the expected success.

Nor have they provided data on the use of the States in WhatsApp, which are still the Stories of the messaging app, although at the end of 2018 there were about 400 million daily users, according to Facebook.
