Tik Tok, the application to share music videos with interpretations about the sound of the songs, begins to have problems with users who harass young children through the social network.
This application, of Chinese origin, seems to refuse its responsibility before the multitude of comments of sexual content in the videos of the minors, reason why the complaints have not been made wait.
“TikTok does not erase the accounts of stalkers in the application.”
TikTok has made forget musical.ly in the applications market to upload short videos in which to perform a choreography accompanied by music and has become one of the most downloaded applications in the world. However, it has become a real headache for parents who see their children, at a very early age, begin to upload content of these characteristics to the network.
In the United Kingdom the controversy has jumped because hundreds of sexually explicit comments have been found in videos published by children as young as nine years old. Although the company has eliminated most of these comments within 24 hours of its publication, many of the users who published them have been able to keep their active account without further damage and that is what annoys parents and internet associations.
Many of the stalkers hide behind false names and ghost accounts. These anonymous profiles are responsible for sending disturbing messages and even messages of violence or exaggerated threats. These messages can get to integrate racist, homophobic and anti-Semitic content towards many of the minors.
In other cases, they are coaxed with vacation offers. With this proclamation, the stalkers try to gain the trust of children who use the application to get more personal data and even try to contact them in person.
