The second beta of the new Android operating system is now available. Google has released Android Q Beta 2 and users of Pixel devices can now download and install it.

“The beta of Android Q includes improvements such as multimedia progress bar or bubble notifications.”

The version is available for the Pixel devices of the three generations and will be the last update available until the third beta arrives in the month of May, in which improvements will be polished.

At the moment, this update brings news such as the customization of the icons and the interface of the device with the Pixel Theme application. The source of the system, the color palette or the shape of the icons are some of the functions that allows to modify this application.

Another novelty that brings with it is the improvement of screenshots. In the first beta of Android Q, screenshots could only be viewed with rounded corners. Android Q Beta 2 solved the problem and the screenshots are generated in rectangular format.

In addition, the update displays a notification in the task pane when playing a song, or a video, through any application. But not only that, the beta 2 of Android Q incorporates a progress bar that indicates the remaining time of playback.

One of the aesthetic measures added by the operating system is the battery icon. Android Q Beta 2 represents the space that symbolizes the battery consumed with transparency, instead of showing it in light gray like the previous version.

In terms of functionality and ergonomics, the update adds advanced volume control from any screen. A panel will be displayed, by manipulating the physical buttons, which will allow adjusting the sound from any application.

Finally, the new operating system completely changes its appearance and use, introducing notifications in the form of a bubble for all applications. Thus, users can perform multiple tasks on the device simultaneously. They will be very similar to those used so far by the Facebook Messenger application.
