There are only two weeks left for the world premiere of Game of Thrones, an event that will keep us glued to the TV for a while. But before knowing the outcome of the Westeros heroes, we show you, with numerous spoilers, what this HBO series can teach entrepreneurs.

“Enemies to the east, enemies to the west, enemies to the south, enemies to the north. We are the last Lannister,” says Cersei Lannister in season seven. All Poniente is at war and the balance runs against this great house. On the one hand, Daenerys returns to Rocadragon with his dragons, on the other, the north is rebuilt and, finally, the southerners revolt.

The Lannister never had so many enemies, but if something stands out to this family is that it always pays its debts and that makes it a solvent house, easy to bet for investors. This is how Cersei Lannister earned the confidence of the Iron Bank to finance soldiers who fought for it. He got the money for being the most economically reliable.

If you owe money to someone or do not pay at the agreed times, if you are not able to pay your debts remember that it does not matter much how well you do in business. Investors and lenders will be leery of giving you money that you do not know if you are going to repay it.

Samwell Tarly is that character who has always been in the shadow of others, shy and shameful. But his willingness to know the world around him more than offset his weaknesses, and makes him one of the most cultured people in the series. His eagerness for knowledge leads him to the Citadel to get the title of master.

But his learning is not as he expected, his tasks are routine; away from a master’s own work. As if that were not enough, their teachers do not attend to their great discoveries about the Soriagris and the white walkers. Samwell Tarly proposed techniques more advanced than those of his colleagues and were rejected. Finally, faced with this scenario, he decides to leave the Citadel and learn on his own.

“I’ve tired of reading the achievements of better men,” he explains when leaving. Sometimes the talent remains hidden in front of a computer in a corner of the company. The superiors do not pay attention to him, either because he is very young or because his ideas are too innovative. What happens in these situations? That the talent decides to undertake on their own, outside the rules and canons imposed by that body. The world is full of people like Sanwell Tarly.

“King Joffrey, The Dog, Ser Amory Lorch, Ser Gregor Clegane, Tickle, Raff the Sweet, Polliver, Chiswyck, Weese, Ser Ilyn Payne, Ser Meryn Trant, Queen Cersei, The Frey,” recites every night Arya Stark. And why does it? What do you get by reviewing the names of the people you have to kill every night? The answer is simple: never forget your tasks.

Unfortunately Arya had no paper and pen to sign her goals. You already know how important it is to have an agenda where your daily tasks, both professional and personal, appear written. We often have too many tasks to do during the day and you may forget more than one. Having an agenda can take away a lot of headaches.

It is also good to do a night review before going to bed of the work we have done and the work we have left to do. This allows us to better organize our plans for the next day. In this way Arya went into a deep sleep, and did not sleep in a comfortable bed.

Tywin Lannister’s young son does not stand out for his beauty or bravery in battle, but he has other qualities that are much more useful in the field of diplomacy or strategy. His most lethal weapon is knowledge. So much so that he led the Iron Throne for a time demonstrating a high capacity for management and leadership.

The dwarf is also a very clever person. The victory in the Battle of Blackwater was achieved thanks to his idea to burn the bay with all the ships of the enemies inside. Cunning in business is critical to success. Using creative techniques instead of traditional techniques or dealing with conflicting employees are virtues that these types of people have.

The political solvency of Tyrion has led him to be the senior adviser to Daenerys Targaryen. Tyrion fulfills all the qualities that the perfect adviser must have: to contribute new ideas, experience in the sector, public recognition and knowledge of the rules that govern the state. Have you found your Tyrion Lannister yet? No doubt you could take your business to the top.

The queen of dragons stands out for many qualities, but one of them has relevance over the others, she is the Mother of Dragons, three dragons to be exact. The Lannisters will have all the gold in the world, but even with that it would be impossible to buy these splendid beasts.

Being the owner of three dragons has allowed Daenerys to pave the way to her goal: to conquer Westeros. In the most complicated moments of their adventure, dragons have always been there to help her achieve her goals. For example, if Drogon had not burned alive the slaver of Astapor, Daenerys would not have his army of immaculate.

To add more, many powerful Westeros characters joined the Targaryen attracted by their dragons. A case would be Tyrion Lannister, who seeks refuge in the court of Daenerys after fleeing King’s Landing.

There is nothing like good marketing to attract customers to join your cause. If you want to increase your visibility you will have to find your dragons in the real world.
