KEYS OF THE BUSINESS
The multinational has been betting on two factors that have made it very competitive in the market: R + D + i and sustainable production.
In its commitment to R + D + i, “we have adapted to the fourth industrial revolution through Resuinsa 4.0, a project with which we develop intelligent textiles that unite the digital world with the physical world to transform traditional processes. sustainable production, we are the first company in the sector to obtain the SteP (sustainable textile production) certificate, audited and issued by the OEKO-TEX International Association, which guarantees that all the production carried out by the company is carried out in compliance with sustainability parameters environmental and corporate social responsibility “, says Félix Martí, CEO of Resuinsa, adding that” the figures with which we close 2018 state that R & D & i and sustainable production are currently the two major demands of the sector ” .
At the end of last year, the company finalized its R + D + i project, which started in 2015, for the development of innovative textile articles for the sector. The project, which has had the support of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Textile Technology Institute (Aitex), has deepened the development of a label with different identification bands of several parameters, which has the ability to change color in order to verify washing recommendations: washing and ironing temperature and use of hypochlorites. It has also developed a control system for approximate washings of a garment through the incorporation of conductive ‘control’ wires to obtain the relationship between the level of conductivity and the number of washes.
Another of the lines of work has focused on the development of textile articles with new functionalities, features and ease of maintenance through finishes in which wrinkles are reduced, easy-care or soil-release.
“We are the first company in the world to get our textiles certified as suitable for industrial washing, a very aggressive washing process that produces extraordinary wear in any garment. The quality of our products covers the entire process, from the material premium, going through weaving, dyeing and cutting to the confection and logistics “, say the company, which applies RFID technology to control all the traceability of their products.
