If your iPhone, iPad or iPod has stopped working properly (the screen has broken, the battery is not what it was, the speaker is not heard…) you have two options: repair it or buy another device. If you opt for the first option, the road is again forked: you can choose to take it to the official technical service of Apple or try your luck with a repair shop outside the brand.
“The technical service of Apple offers four ways to deliver a device to repair: official store, associated stores, place of purchase and courier.”
If you decide to leave it in the hands of Apple do not run to the store. You have to follow a process to arrange an appointment and have them attend you personally. How? Very easy. The first thing to do is go to the App Store and find the application “Apple Support”.
Once installed, you must select the “Get technical support” section, which is located in the middle part of the lower bar. Here we will see several sections and among them, the Apple devices we have. You have to click on the one you want to repair.
The app will take us to a section where the frequent problems are found: battery and charge, physical damage and system performance. We must select what comes closest to us, and we will be offered a series of tips. Along with the tips, an option called “Take it to repair” will appear.
When you click on it, the application will show you a list of the closest centers, and when you select them, you will give us an appointment to take the phone to repair.
It is worth remembering that the guarantee offered by Apple is one year, but in Spain it is necessary to add a second year of guarantee by the telephone operators. Therefore, if you purchased your iPhone through an operator, you can try to repair the phone through warranty through them if the year of warranty offered by Apple has expired. However, if the iPhone is free or we have bought a Mac, we will only have one year.
