Video formats increasingly offer higher quality and any decent medium-sized photographic equipment can record 4K images in slow motion, with the 8K standard becoming increasingly common. This has a direct impact on the weight of the video that is recorded, and therefore, on the storage media. Each time more space is needed.

“The 1 TB SD card, which makes it the largest capacity support in the world, is now available.”

A 64 GB SD card can get very short if we record in high quality formats. With this in mind, the Lezar brand has launched the first 1TB SD card, that is, 1024 GB, which can be touched in the palm of the hand for 500 dollars. The card can be ordered, but it is not known when the shipments will begin. Of course, it is the first in the world with such ample storage capacity that it can already be purchased.

SD cards of this capacity take quite some time on paper. SanDisk, one of the most popular storage device manufacturers, had plans to launch a device of the same capacity, but never reached the market. That is why Lexar is the first company to reach the market with 1TB cards.

In addition to the enormous capacity, the card does not offer anything more relevant. The reading speed is 95 MB per second, as is usual with SDXC cards. On the other hand, it is mainly focused on users who record video in a professional manner. An amateur photographer would take years to completely fill out the card.
