BBK and Ship2B have just launched the BBK Venture Philanthropy Program to promote projects of social and environmental impact in the province of Bizkaia.

It is an accompaniment and financing program that can be accessed by up to 10 startups and intra-entrepreneurial projects in social entities provided that they are innovative ideas of social and environmental impact, with a profitable or sustainable business model in economic-financial terms and scalable.

The four-month program consists of two phases. In the first, ten projects are pre-selected, which will work on their business model in collaboration with Ship2B, an investment platform specialized in this type of project. In this first phase, in addition, the chosen projects will participate in an Innovation Bootcamp in Bilbao to specify and improve their value proposal with the help of mentors and experts.

In the second phase, of these projects four will be chosen, which will have access to a four-month acceleration program during which they will be able to establish alliances with large companies for their growth as well as access to several financing channels: through the Venture fund Philanthropy of 100,000 euros, driven by BBK or investment of up to 400,000 euros through Ship2B or the Mundualdatu Program of BBK.
