9 Phrases to Stimulate your Entrepreneurial Spirit

There are some characteristics at work and in life that simply can not be taught. They form from within and over time, they become part of who we are. One of those characteristics is the entrepreneurial spirit.

Entrepreneurship develops in people who demonstrate a true passion for building something big out of nothing and are willing to push themselves to the limit to achieve great goals. It is, therefore, a quality that can be used by everyone, because undertaking is much more than starting your own business. Entrepreneurship, the entrepreneurial spirit, has to do with how you approach your life, your studies, your career, your relationships.

  1. “Within a year, you wish you started today.”

-Karen Lamb-

The sooner you take the first step before you reach the goal

One of the reasons that hold us back when it comes to entrepreneurship is fear, often masked in the form of doubt and uncertainty. The other is thinking too much. We want to have everything planned, everything prepared, everything planned. And in what we negotiate with that fear, time passes. In that eagerness to think and prepare, time flies.

When you realize and look back, it’s when you regret not having started before.

Step by step, that’s how you move forward. No matter the magnitude of the project, the important thing that after having done an exercise of honesty with yourself on whether you have the means to achieve it, be consistent. Everything starts in the same way, and progresses in the same way. If you do not take that first step, you will hardly be able to observe an advance that reinforces you. It does not matter if you have great ideas or wonderful purposes. If you do not move, you will never achieve what you are looking for.

“If you do not pursue what you want, you will never have it. If you do not ask, the answer will be always no. And if you do not take the first step, you will always be in the same place.”

-Nora Roberts-

Let yourself be attracted by your dreams

Dreams, the true ones, generate illusion. Faced with this illusion, fear also appears. A fear that you have to look into the eyes, listen, but not follow. Think that pursuing a dream implies giving up many others. There are always losses. The important thing is that it deals with losses that we can assume. The important thing is that the dream nourishes us with happiness, but do not blind us. Like the lovers, love.

On the other hand, changing the language, the point of view, will help you give impetus to your entrepreneurial spirit. If you see it as a goal, you can imagine reaching it. That may scare you (or not). If so, return to the essence, to the illusion, to the dream. Dreams attract you, they absorb you, they call you. It is much easier to reach them if you let their magic work in your favor.

“When we are in the right direction, all we have to do is keep walking.”

-Buddhist proverb-

Problems are opportunities to grow and become stronger

The road to dreams is not necessarily easy. There will be moments that make you doubt, moments in which you will consider changing the course. But those impediments are great opportunities to grow, to make stronger, wiser.

Appreciate the difficulties that the road shows you, because thanks to them you have the opportunity to get the best version of yourself. And if things get difficult, remember why you do what you do. You have a purpose, a reason that makes you get up in the morning, a reason that justifies your effort.

“The strongest oak in the forest is not the one protected from the storm and hidden from the sun. He is the one in the open air where he is forced to fight for his existence against the wind, the rains and the scorching sun”.

-Napoleon Hill-

Create your own opportunities

Do not keep looking, waiting for the “opportunity” to arise to start doing what you want. That moment that you expect will hardly appear if you do not put yourself to work to design it. Because yes, many dreams start to be fulfilled created facilitators. For example, if you would like to live a season abroad, the best thing you can do is to choose one and study its culture, especially your language.

History is full of examples of people who created the scenario they needed to fulfill their dreams. Of people who built their own opportunity, who anticipated themselves.

“It was not raining when Noah built the ark.”

-Howard Ruff-
