Facebook has launched this year’s template to make the video summary of our most outstanding activity in the social network in the last 12 months. In the video that the company has published, you can see perfectly how this function takes the most prominent points of our passage through Facebook and adds them to a predesigned template, just like last year.

In order to access our own summary video of the whole year, we will only have to go to this link starting on December 10, when the function will be enabled for all users of the platform. Even so, Facebook will show notifications to each user when the function is active, so it will be difficult to miss the video with “the best of the year”.
These reminders are about a function that triumphs in the social network. More than 60 million users daily visit the “On this day” feature, which remembers what happened that same day a year ago. Some 155 million additional users have enabled notifications to be notified of these reminders.
These videos, without a doubt, generate a lot of interaction (up to 50% more than other types of content). And Facebook is not the only platform that has them. Snapchat recently added a similar memory feature, and Instagram is trying reminders like Facebook’s “On This Day” for Stories.
Nostalgia sells, that is evident. The increase in interaction on Christmas dates is probably the highest of the year. After all, we all like to see condensed our most important moments shared in social networks. Friendship reminders, posts with more likes, etc., provided by the algorithm sure to take more than a smile to users on these important dates.
